Confident In Trials_
I can remember when I gave my life to Jesus, I can remember the sweaty palms, heart beating hard and being a bag of nerves as I was led through in prayer to my very own amazing encounter with Jesus…but no-one ever shared the small print of what else to expect.
However I don’t remember anyone telling me that times would come that would be challenging, or about the moments where what I believe would wreck some friendships. No one ever told me, at that moment, that the feeling I was then experiencing would also be met with emotions of heartache, pressure and quite simply some really hard days.
But it would be in these times that if we were to allow them, they would create gold in us, genuine treasure that has the potential to change the world around us. We can be confident in all trials because they develop us……if we allow them to.
Paul puts it this way:
Romans 5:3_ We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.  And this hope will not lead to disappointment.
Problems develop endurance,
Endurance strengthens character,
Character grows hope,
