It’s hard to believe that it’s been 3 months since our leaders conference at Central Hall. What a great time that was. Here is an update of what’s been happening across the network.
Our partnership with the Methodist Church continues to grow in leaps and bounds. The diversity of how our partnership is expressed is very exciting – sharing buildings, employment of ‘pioneer ministers’, new missional communities and joint training initiatives are some of the ways the partnership is being expressed. You can check out our Pioneer Connexion website for more information.
Our year-long discipleship course, Ignite, is entering its third and final term across the network. This year Ignite has been running in 7 locations with 250 students enrolled. From September Ignite will be running in at least 12 locations in the UK with interest also being expressed from overseas. Over the summer we are planning to video record all the sessions to make the teaching available in a variety of formats.
Hope Community School
New Generation Schools Trust, chaired by Pioneer church leader, Paul Weston, is opening its second primary Free School in Southampton in September 2016. They are also in the process of applying to open a third school in Kent. Exciting days!
Regional Leaders Days
Leaders days are now running in a variety of locations across the network – Southampton, Chichester, Loughborough, Maidenhead, Swansea, London, Manchester and Lurgan, Northern Ireland. Check out the website for details. These have replaced the annual School of Theology and Prayer Days.
Pathway to Leadership
We are currently working on a training programme that will help us identify and equip those who feel a call to church leadership as their primary life calling. Details are currently being worked on but we hope these will be in place by the early autumn with a launch date of January 2016.
A huge thanks to all those who signed up to become an EveryDay Pioneer and support the work of Pioneer across the nation. We really appreciate your support.
We have set the dates for next year’s conference. They will be March 4th & 5th. We will also be developing our International sessions running from Wednesday evening March 2nd and Thursday March 3rd. Full details to follow.
